Fun Saturday

We went out on the town this afternoon---to Winder, that is :-) Sarah got to ride in the seat of the shopping cart at Wal-Mart for the first time, and she loved it! She even knew how to hold on! Then we went to Fatz for lunch and she got to sit in the high chair all by herself for the first time--she loved that, too! We looked so funny with all of our plates and cups squished down on one end of the table out of her reach. Sarah had so much fun eating baby food, crackers, puffs, straws, water, lids, napkins, you name it...what a big girl (and what a big diaper to show for it when we got home)! Sorry the high chair picture is so blurry--I forgot my real camera and had to use the one on my cell phone, which I am no pro at :-)

Snow! And More Snow!

Sarah was mesmerized by all of the snow we've had this week. At first she hated being put in her snowsuit, but I think she has started to realize that when she goes in the suit, she goes outside in the snow :-) Too bad she will probably never wear it again! Notice crazy daddy outside in the snow in his shorts and t-shirt...

Sarah's New Favorite Things

Sarah moves all over the house now, mostly to get into mischief :-) She still scoots on her belly but she is fast! Here are some pics of her new favorite activities...

Cute Pictures

Here are some cute pictures of Sarah since I have not posted pics of her in awhile...she is getting so big! The last one is funny--she is mad because we won't let her crawl and play with the fireplace....such a mean mommy and daddy...

Mommy is Sick

Poor Mommy. I thought I caught Sarah's cold/cough when I started coughing right before taking Sarah to the doctor for her ear infection. Then Tuesday I had a fever to add to the cough by the time I got home from work. By Wednesday, I had a cough, fever of 103, muscle aches, a headache, and dizziness. I went to the doctor and found out my heart rate was also high, and then I proceeded to throw up as soon as I got home, so I had just about every symptom you could imagine. The doctor hinted that I MAY have the flu, but she didn't really say. She just said to come back if I got worse. A few days went by, and I didn't really seem to get worse OR better. We called the doctor back Friday and the office re-prescribed the same cough medicine they had given me on Wednesday--oops. Then by Saturday evening I was feeling really really bad, and my back had a really bad pain everytime I breathed. I couldn't take it anymore. We called the doctor and she said to go to the ER since my heart was still beating fast. So off we went, and I guess a fast heart rate will get you in quick (thankfully only 5 minutes in the waiting room!). As it turned out, I had/have pneumonia. They ended up keeping me in the hospital on IV antibiotics and fluids until Monday afternoon. Now I am home taking oral antibiotics and resting for the rest of the week. Hopefully I will be all better and ready for work next Tuesday (yay for another holiday on Monday!). What an ordeal! I did get some really pretty flowers from my school, so I must share the picture :-)

Sarah is Sick

Poor Sarah. She got a little cold/cough the first weekend in January that resulted in an ear infection in her left ear. We didn't know what was wrong, but we should have figured it was her ear after she stayed up all night screaming that Sunday night and would't tolerate being in her crib! What an exhausting night--I am so glad that I took her to the doctor last Monday and didn't have to go through two sleepless nights in a row! The upside--Sarah is a great medicine-taker--she loves her amoxicillin and opens her mouth like a little baby bird when she sees the medicine dropper coming towards her :-)

Another Christmas!

We went to Greenville to Mimi and Pawpaw's house for New Year's, and Uncle Joseph and Aunt Alecia were there, so we had ANOTHER Christmas! Sarah of course got lots more new toys and a couple of cute t-shirts ("Family Favorite" and "Daddy's Little Tax Deduction").
