Sarah's Weekend Away :-)

It was warm enough to play in the pool!

So happy!

Picking flowers and, yes, putting them on the cat. Silly Sarah!

Sarah LOVES Tubby the cat!

Learning how to roll up her hair and clip it like Nana

Sarah spent the weekend away at Nana and Papa's house while Jeremy and I went on his church choir retreat. Sarah had great fun, and I LOVED having a weekend away at the lake to catch up on school work and just follow my own schedule, just meeting up with Jeremy at meal time :-)

Here are some cute pics my mom took of Sarah...

Sarah is Having Conversations!!!

Here's how Sarah's conversations go these days as she is attemping to talk--it's really cute:

Walking in the door after a long day and dinner out:
Mommy: "Are you ready for a bath?"
Sarah: "No" (ahhhhh! My little girl has learned to say "no!")
Mommy: "Do you want to play?"
Sarah: (smiling) "Pay...."

In the playroom after dinner:
Sarah: gets "the look"
Mommy: "do you need to go poo-poo?"
Sarah: "poo-poo"
Mommy: takes Sarah potty and she GOES IN THE POTTY!!!!!
Sarah: "down"

Sarah used the potty for me on Tuesday night and again tonight. Tonight she got "the look" while sitting in the bathtub--ewww! Luckily we made it onto the potty in time...Big Girl Sarah!

Fun Fun Fun!

Here are some pictures from our fun outings during the past couple of weeks. We went to Mardi Gras Party and Play with our friends Heather and Rachael, and we made a little family trip to the Gwinnett County Fair last weekend--both were a blast!

I had class for LMU all day yesterday, and when I got home, Sarah had another fever! It has been hanging out between 101 and 103 since yesterday afternoon--good grief Sarah! This time she actually isn't acting like herself so something must be bothering her. I am convinced it's just her teeth, though, even though that's a pretty high teething fever--tonight I took a good look in her mouth and she literally has FOUR new teeth popping through (she only had 3 to start with). She has a doctor's appointment in the morning for a check up, so I guess we will see what she has to say about the whole thing.

The last picture is random-You might be a redneck if....you are driving home from work and see THIS sign at the top of your neighborhood! No lost dogs or cats, just goats...

Sarah's First School Picture and Fun Videos

Sarah got her first school picture yesterday, and it is just about the most grown up thing I have ever seen from Sarah---kinda makes me sad....and happy at the same time. I can't believe how much she has changed in the past year, and I have millions and millions of pictures to prove it.

I am attaching a video of Sarah's current favorite things: vacuuming and reading :-)

If I haven't mentioned it lately, Sarah is SUCH a joy in my life, and I am so blessed to have her around--she has turned into a beautiful, happy (most of the time), bouncing toddler with endless energy, wonder, and love for her mommy and daddy...thanks, Sarah, for being wonderful you! Mommy and Daddy love you! (maybe one day you will read this blog...)

Labor Day Fun

Isn't this jumper the most adorable thing you have ever seen? Thanks Nana!

Some of the kids at the picnic playing with the sand and water table

We had a fabulous Labor Day with family and friends. Our family came over for a picnic lunch, and then Jeremy, Sarah, and I went to one of Jeremy's co-worker's house for a dinner picnic--there were 9 kids there and only 4 couples! Sarah had SO much fun playing with all of the other children and all of the neat toys.

Yellow River Game Ranch

Sarah and Nana

There was a HUGE, ugly pig sitting under a sink--how strange! Nana didn't want to get too close to him, but Sarah didn't mind!

Sarah riding the rough wagon ride--her first ride of it's kind...

Feeding a cracker to the cutest little baby goat I have ever seen

Isn't he adorable?

Feeding some corn to a chicken--there were a LOT of chickens

Watching a baby deer eat a carrot

The deer were more interested in the stroller than in Sarah, I think

Jeremy went to the UGA game on Saturday, so Sarah and I hung out with my mom. We found a coupon and decided to go to the Yellow River Game Ranch. It was so much fun, and the trip only cost us $9.75(and that included buying goodies to feed the animals)! Sarah was not at all afraid of all the deer, chickens, etc. that came right up to her. The only time she was scared was when a flock of ducks (flock?) swarmed her and started "honking" at her :-) We bought some Ritz crackers to feed the animals, and I'm sure Sarah ate as many crackers herself as we gave to the animals. She kept saying, "Cracker! Cracker!" and signing "please." That girl loves to eat! She wanted to eat the corn kernels as well but I had to explain to her (do you think she understood?) that they were not cooked and would not taste good to anyone but the chickens and ducks :-)
